The O'Neill Slasher Comp Vest is developed and tested by the top athletes in the sport. Our vest lineup stands out in comparison to all others, setting an elevated standard and inspiring others to follow. Our NytroLite Foam is more buoyant, weighs 3x less, and offers superior shock protection when compared to traditional foam. It is uniquely manufactured using nitrogen-expanded low-density polyethylene, and cannot be replicated. This type of foam is 3x lighter than standard PVC foam, and absorbs 15-20% less water due to its closed-cell foam structure. Additionally, it is 10% more buoyant than PVC, allowing us to use less foam in each vest and still maintain buoyancy.
FEATURES:
Competition Vests are designed to fit skin tight. They are form fitting and will stretch. If you are used to wearing a loose fitting vest, ski and wake vests will feel much different. They are designed NOT to ride up on you while in the water. When you first zip the vest, it will feel very tight, then loosen up once you are in the water.
