About our Training Center

We are in our fourth year at our new site, Oz, in Charleston, SC (only about 10 minutes from our old site on Johns Island). Come ski with us and check out the new home of the Seth Stisher's Waterski Training Center. Ski with Seth Stisher and the H2O Crew at our private man-made site hidden in the woods on Johns Island, minutes from downtown Charleston, beaches, and Kiawah/Seabrook Islands.   Who is Seth Stisher?
  
  Seth Stisher, the owner and co-founder of H2OProShop, has been coaching since 1994 and competing as a professional water skier since 2001.
  
  His lifetime involvement in the sport and in the industry is due to an intense passion for waterskiing and gratitude for all that the sport has done for him. He is a student of the sport as well as a coach and trainer. Seth’s specialty is slalom (although he coaches other events when necessary depending on your level)and he is available at his Waterski Training Center (located at Oz in Charleston, SC) or for clinics at your site or a site near you.
  
  Seth's Coaching Philosophy
  
  Seth's philosophy of waterskiing centers around teaching you the best technique and training methods based on what you already know while maintaining a relaxed, enjoyable coaching/learning environment.
  
  "I believe that most people posess what it takes to accomplish their goals, but without guidance and proper coaching they may find themselves with little to no progress year after year. I also believe that for skiers, or athletes in any sport for that matter, to progress they must understand the physics, and mechanics of the sport. Far too many people train by what I would call “The Rules” of skiing rather than the physics of skiing. “The Rules” don’t exist and can inhibit performances and progress.
  
  On the other hand if you understand the physics of what you are trying to accomplish, you can then execute certain finite movements to accomplish your desired results. This is why rather than give skiers your average “ski tips,” I try to custom tailor my coaching to their needs and desires and include a firm understanding of the mechanics of the sport along with any coaching I do. Furthermore I like to do all of this in a setting that promotes a healthy relaxed attitude and contributes to the enjoyment of the sport."
