FINamaJIG Slalom Ski Fin Measurement Tool

The FINamaJIG was designed as a tool that will allow fin position to be accurately, reproducibly and quickly located on competitive water skis. At the current time the fin position is conveyed by measurements made with a caliper. Variability in technique and operator skill makes this a challenging process under the best of circumstances. The lack of calibration of various calipers or just lack of a caliper further compounds inaccuracy of the process. Time required making accurate adjustments in the field takes away from usefulness and makes assessment of effect difficult.

PLEASE NOTE: The FINamaJIG has been tested with HO, Connelly, D3, Radar, and Goode skis. Currently O'Brien has a different hole configuration that does not work with the FINamaJIG.
