2012 Reflex Waterski White Cuff Shell Upgrade

The 2012 Reflex Waterski White Cuff Upgrade is a continuation of the already great Reflex boot. New for 2012 is the white upper cuff and the flexion strap. The flexion strap limits forward movement and prevents over-extension of the ankle thus providing additional protection and an increased ability to create tip pressure when necessary.

After testing this new shell, we have found it to have a lot of the attributes of the 2009-2010 Reflex Shell, but with increased fore and aft flexibility which seems to allow skiers to move more athletically on the ski. The Flexion Strap can be used in such a manner as to limit that flex forward in order to effect greater pressure on the tip of the ski in order to engage the inside, leading edge of the ski through the turn. You can also run the flexion strap on a longer setting where the strap is only engaged with extreme forward flexion like you would feel in a crash-type situation. The fact that there is a plenty of room to customize your setup makes this shell a great choice over others in the high end boot market.
